Rishabh Jain
MSCS (Machine Learning) @Columbia University
I’m an MS Computer Science student at Columbia University in the Machine Learning track. My research interests lie at the intersection of robot manipulation and efficient model inference.
At Columbia, I’m advised by Dr. Matei Ciocarlie at the Columbia ROAM Lab, where I work on visuo-tactile models and reinforcement learning for dexterous robotic manipulation. As an ML and Robotics Intern at Tacta Systems, Inc. I worked on real-robot RL finetuning of diffusion policies and VLAs for precision-critical tasks. I am also interested in LLM inference, specifically in distillation and speculative decoding.
Before Columbia, I graduated with a B.Tech (Honors) in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from IIT Ropar in 2023. I then worked as a Software Engineer at Arista Networks, contributing to high-throughput network operating systems and build infra.
